Well, my friends. We did it. We have survived 2020, and are only a few hours away from greeting 2021 with open arms! There is no doubt that 2020 was a rough year for the world, but if there is one thing that 2020 has proved above all else, it is that love cannot be cancelled. I wanted to try a little something new as we end this historic year, and compile a gallery showing the best of 2020– a review of the love that was celebrated under the conditions that 2020 gave us.

So many Bride’s had to unfortunately cancel, postpone, or move venues multiple times. Ceremonies that were originally meant to be held in beautiful churches were moved to parking lots, traditional receptions with dancing were out of the question, and of course sporting a mask was a must.

To all my beautiful, sweet Bride’s I want to say: I admire you so much for the way you graciously handled the curveballs that 2020 brought with it when having to make such hard decisions about planning your wedding. I know it wasn’t easy in the slightest. You’re amazing and I CAN’T wait to get to celebrate and document your joyous day when the time arrives.

A huge thank you to all of my sweet, wonderful clients for allowing me to create and do what I love during these difficult times. It has meant the world to be trusted with these moments, and having been able to continue to have this creative outlet has been the biggest blessing this year.  From the bottom of my heart- thank you, thank you, thank YOU!

Aside from gratefully being able to continue to do what I love this year, my work being accepted for publication with 3 big publications (Southern California Bride, Hey Wedding Lady, Aisle Society) was also such a blessing. I can’t wait for those to be live on their websites to be able to share them with you! Apart from that, I started to integrate film into my workflow this year. There is something so timeless and elegant about the film aesthetic that I’m excited to incorporate into my work. Can you spot which photos are film and which ones are digital below?

Deciding on 1-2 images from each session, wedding, or engagement I photographed this year was SO hard. However, after going over the archives a few times and slowly eliminating photos for the final gallery, I was able to lower the count to about 150 photographs. The best of 2020. These 150 photos you’re about to see are all from this year’s sessions, including: 9 weddings, 10 engagement sessions, 24 portrait sessions, and 4 editorials.

With much joy and gratitude, I wish you better things to come in 2021. Happy New Year!
