It was a warm Monday afternoon. Actually, it was closer to “hot” than “warm”. The sound of dirt under my tires greets my ears as I pull into Hartley Botanica in SomisValley, CA– the location of Veronica and Zack’s Anniversary Session (the same location they got married at almost exactly a year ago). As I get out of the car to make my way over to the gardens, I get a swiff of some fresh flowers in the warm breeze, and even make out some faint clucking of some chicken’s at a distance. I walk a little further and find Veronica and Zack setting up their adorably sweet 1st year wedding anniversary picnic. Let me tell you, Veronica has SUCH amazing attention to detail. I was seriously in photographer heaven with all details she incorporated into their session *insert all the heart eyes here*! They even brought things along from their wedding day; one of which included a cute rendition of their “love story” that Zack wrote (check it out below!). After popping open the bottle of wine they have waited a year to open, and finished eating some cake, we explored the gardens together to get some more amazing shots at this GORGEOUS location. Seriously, guys, it’s beautiful there!
To Veronica & Zack: Thank you so much for letting me document your 1st year of marriage with these photos. It was truly an honor. I loved seeing how you both interact with each other and I’m sure you’ve hear this a million times before, but you two are truly perfect for each other!
