It’s always a treat when out-of-town families contact me for family sessions to document their time in California. Especially when they’re staying at Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach! It’s such a pretty resort, with the best views. Its white sandy beach are the perfect scene for that “California look”.
I was ecstatic when the Doyle family agreed to a sunrise session. Waking up extra early for pictures isn’t always isn’t exactly what people have in mind when on vacation, I know. But I was so glad that they said yes because you just can’t beat that dreamy sunrise light. I should also note that we got extremely lucky with the weather! You see, Southern California has been temperamental with it’s weather lately. It’s been so unpredictable and the night before the session it rained really hard! Lucky the storm was gone just in time for their session at the Surf and Sand Resort.
To the Doyle Family: Thank you so much for asking me to take your family portraits while visiting from Denver! Emilia was such a trooper through it all with the cold and skipping breakfast for the session. She’s adorable and it was the sweetest thing getting to see her love for the water.
